To further explore cutting-edge advances in plant diversity research, promote academic exchange and cooperation, and strengthen the editorial board of Plant Diversity, the 1st Symposium on Frontiers in Plant Diversity & Plant Diversity Editorial Board Meeting will be held from March 27 to 30, 2026 at Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences (XTBG, CAS). The conference is organized by the Editorial Office of Plant Diversity, hosted by Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden, CAS, and co-organized by the Botanical Society of Yunnan and Yunnan Key Laboratory for Plant Diversity and Biogeography.

With the core theme of "Plant Diversity: Frontier Exploration, Interdisciplinary Integration and Sustainable Development", this conference focuses on the cutting-edge trends and development directions in the field of plant diversity research, builds a high-level platform for academic exchange and cooperation, and helps improve the quality and efficiency of the editorial board construction of Plant Diversity. The conference has set up rich discussion topics, covering many key fields such as plant phylogeny and evolutionary biology, plant genomics and adaptive evolution, plant speciation and biogeography. It also focuses on practice-oriented topics including plant–environment interactions (including climate change responses), plant diversity conservation and sustainable utilization, and plant ecology and ecosystem functioning. In addition, it will explore the applications of new technologies and methods in plant diversity research. A special editorial board session will be set up to conduct in-depth discussions on the construction and development of Plant Diversity, comprehensively promoting the interdisciplinary integration and high-quality development of plant diversity research.
